I am a Sports Director for Magnum Broadcasting and one half of the morning show on QWIK Rock. Ever since I was born, I have had two passions, sports and radio. I had sports in my blood since birth, when my parents named me after two Penn State football players Todd Blackledge and Curt Warner (Curtis is my middle name) who helped lead the Nittany Lions to a 1982 National Championship.

I had always dreamt of being a sportscaster, turning down the sound when I was young, and doing my own version of the game, pretending to hold a microphone in my hand. I had my first experience in radio as a junior in high school when I interned at another local radio station in State College. For the next six years, I had the opportunity of covering Penn State games, and also broadcasting Philipsburg-Osceola high school sports on WPHB, a job that I still do today. One of my early accomplishments came in 2001, when I broadcast the State College Little League’s run through the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bristol, Connecticut.

A big break came in 2005, when I was hired with Magnum Broadcasting as Sports Director for three stations. I have had the pleasure of covering a plethora of events including the Big 33 Football Classic, and various State High School Championship events. I am a sports fanatic, and will watch anything that is on television, or in person. I will root passionately for my teams, which include the Nittany Lions, Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and the Duke Blue Devils.

A 2001 State College Area High School graduate. I am single and reside in Lemont.

Bio:I was born and raised in New Jersey, and no, that isn't a bad thing! I graduated from Passaic Valley High School in 1997, and came to PSU! I majored in Business administration and decided to make happy valley my home. For the past eight years I have been the general manager at The Arena, and have recently accepted a new position at 797 and Magnum Broadcasting as your morning show co-host! I love doing the morning show, and I couldn't ask for better co-hosts than Todd Brown and Marty!

I was brought up a Yankees, Giant's, Knicks, and Devils fan and not even living in state college will change that. I enjoy almost anything that is active, and I am a huge adrenaline junkie. If its fast or 100 feet off the ground i'm in!

I started out in radio in 1987 while I was a Junior at Warren Area High School in Warren, PA for radio station WNAE-AM / WRRN-FM. After 11 years of part time work, I left radio for a year, then started working for Magnum Broadcasting's Rock 103 in Russell, PA, which then became Vox Allegany, LLC's 103.1 The Fox, before moving to State College in May of 2005 to work for what was then 105.9 The Buzz. I've stayed for all the incarnations, from The Buzz to Joe FM to the new QWiK Rock! A lot has changed, but my love for rock hasn't!

I am also co-host of The A.O.N. Rundown! All or Nothing Professional Wrestling is where it's at! Amen for A.O.N.!

I came to this town to rock... 3 years of country music made my brain ache.

I'm glad I have the outlet to rock again!

Meet AJ-Helpful dad, upstanding citizen... As a young man, I had the world by its bootstraps and was dating the prettiest and smartest gal in town. Her name was Layla, just like the melody. Well, by spring time, we had made it official. Boy, let me tell you that was some wedding! Just when I thought life couldn't get any sweeter, old Mr. Stork dropped in to pay me and Layla a visit. I loved those boys so much I just couldn't face the truth. And so I went on with life as if everything was normal. Eventually, my worst fears were realized. It's funny how a man reacts when his heart gets broken. Some break down and cry and climb a clock tower, but I didn't seem to react at all. I just swallowed hard, felt the slab of heartache slide over the lump in my throat, and locked it all away.

As you can imagine, it wasn't easy... for little Jamal, Lee Harvey, and Shonte Jr... growing up without a mom. I, however, made that little house into a big old home and the boys flourished. Let me tell you, they were smart ones. That is when I decided to get into radio...

I remember listening to DJ's like Shadow Stevens, Rick Dees, and Dr. Demento and thinking, "I can do that!" After graduating from high school. I had done some DJ work at Frat parties, weddings, and birthdays. I landed a job at an alternative station in State College and then moved to Top 40 radio in Indiana. Then I moved back to PA and continued to work in Alternative radio until a format change to Top 40. Shortly after, I left state College to work in Top 40 radio in Allentown and Classic Rock in Reading, but then returned to State College and worked in Top 40 radio, again, before joining the Magnum Broadcasting team.
