Troy was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin. His parents, George and Augusta Craig, were both natives of Wisconsin. Troy was a shy, effeminate boy, he became a target for bullies. Classmates and teachers recalled off-putting mannerisms, such as seemingly random laughter, as if he were laughing at his own personal jokes. To make matters worse, his mother punished him whenever he tried to make friends. On November 16, 1957, Plainfield hardware store owner Bernice Worden disappeared and police had reason to suspect Craig. Worden's son had told investigators that Craig had been in the store the evening before the disappearance, saying he would return the following morning for a gallon of anti-freeze. A sales slip for a gallon of anti-freeze was the last receipt written by Worden on the morning she disappeared. Upon searching Craig's property, investigators discovered Worden's decapitated body in a shed, hung upside down by ropes at her wrists, with a crossbar at her ankles. The torso was "dressed out" like that of a deer. She had been shot with a .22-caliber rifle, and the mutilations were made after death. After spending a short time in jail...Troy now does mornings here on Qwik Rock, and while he has been rehabilitated...he suggests you listen for the inevitable relapse.

I grew up in the Philadelphia area, which makes me a Cheese Steak expert….I also am a fan of Philadelphia sports….I’ve come to appreciate the Pittsburgh teams as well, second to Philly but can never ever root for the Steelers. It’s a long traumatic story. I grew up listing to WMMR in Philadelphia and always knew that I wanted to be in the radio business.

I graduated from Penn State University and managed to find myself working in the field I love. I was on the radio for about 4 years, then wasn’t for about 2, and now am back baby!

I am married to a beautiful woman, which for some reason puts up with all of my crap.

I’m not really good at writing about myself….so how about we do this….if there is something specific you’d like to know…just ask me at dano@1059qwikrock.com, my life is an open book and I’d be willing to answer any and all question you can think of.

I started out in radio in 1987 while I was a Junior at Warren Area High School in Warren, PA for radio station WNAE-AM / WRRN-FM. After 11 years of part time work, I left radio for a year, then started working for Magnum Broadcasting's Rock 103 in Russell, PA, which then became Vox Allegany, LLC's 103.1 The Fox, before moving to State College in May of 2005 to work for what was then 105.9 The Buzz. I've stayed for all the incarnations, from The Buzz to Joe FM to the new QWiK Rock! A lot has changed, but my love for rock hasn't!

I am also co-host of The A.O.N. Rundown! All or Nothing Professional Wrestling is where it's at! Amen for A.O.N.!

I came to this town to rock... 3 years of country music made my brain ache.

I'm glad I have the outlet to rock again!

Meet AJ-Helpful dad, upstanding citizen... As a young man, I had the world by its bootstraps and was dating the prettiest and smartest gal in town. Her name was Layla, just like the melody. Well, by spring time, we had made it official. Boy, let me tell you that was some wedding! Just when I thought life couldn't get any sweeter, old Mr. Stork dropped in to pay me and Layla a visit. I loved those boys so much I just couldn't face the truth. And so I went on with life as if everything was normal. Eventually, my worst fears were realized. It's funny how a man reacts when his heart gets broken. Some break down and cry and climb a clock tower, but I didn't seem to react at all. I just swallowed hard, felt the slab of heartache slide over the lump in my throat, and locked it all away.

As you can imagine, it wasn't easy... for little Jamal, Lee Harvey, and Shonte Jr... growing up without a mom. I, however, made that little house into a big old home and the boys flourished. Let me tell you, they were smart ones. That is when I decided to get into radio...

I remember listening to DJ's like Shadow Stevens, Rick Dees, and Dr. Demento and thinking, "I can do that!" After graduating from high school. I had done some DJ work at Frat parties, weddings, and birthdays. I landed a job at an alternative station in State College and then moved to Top 40 radio in Indiana. Then I moved back to PA and continued to work in Alternative radio until a format change to Top 40. Shortly after, I left state College to work in Top 40 radio in Allentown and Classic Rock in Reading, but then returned to State College and worked in Top 40 radio, again, before joining the Magnum Broadcasting team.

Born into poverty as a young child ... I found my way through life by a chain of uneventful events that made me the person I am today,. With my razor blade in hand I swung at the giant lizards till they fell to the pavement and drank the blood from their now defunct carcuss.. they use to torture and rape me as a teenager but I would fight back with my old mighty sword and thats when 'the war of many' began.. It was a struggle for the humans and the unwanted heroes almost death by proxy but with time on our side the Lizards went the way of rainbows and faded into the sky of Lexicon... WAIT A SECOND!!!, IM JUST A DISC JOCKEY! I Started Djing back When I was Just 13 yrs old ('83) Playing @ Under 21 clubs Near Buffalo New York and Moving on to Punk Rock/New Wave Bars And Clubs as I grew Into My Teens and Moving to North Central Pa When I was Around the age of 18 ...I was more experienced as a Club Dj but with lack of Cred to My name In Pa. I teamed up with a dj partner to form 'Electric shock Dj Service' it wasnt what I was used to doing- being a "Moble Dj" but I got used to it.. This lead to djing All Over North Central pa. Time Came and Went.. And In the 90s I went Solo Djing All Over NCPA's Bar/Club Circuit Really making a name for myself in the area by the End of The 90s I started djing A show On a radio station Called "80's Retro Rewind" (Y106.9 wzyy). A few short years later the Station would change formats to a Classic Rock Station (106.9 The Surge fm) and I became The Head Dj Personality and Music Programmer there. While Still Djing @ Clubs and Bars In the Area... Now Its 2010 And I am Back on Radio Here At QWiK ROCK- Rockin The Over Nights!!!!.
